We recently planned a birthday party for my mother's 95th birthday and selected Sky's Restaurant in Victoria as our venue, though the honoree is from the RGV. Tom and his team were outstanding in their friendly and courteous service to almost 100 family members from the Victoria and surrounding areas, including a few from the RGV and out of state. The food was absolutely outstanding, and I had many guests comment on the delicious food and prompt service. I personally tried the Wagu steak and fried shrimp--both incredibly delicious! The night before our event, a few family members gathered to decorate the banquet room for our party. We decided to eat dinner afterwards and truly enjoyed our meal. I must say that one of my favorite meals is General Tso's Chicken, and Sky's Restaurant delivered the very best I have ever eaten!! Our compliments to the Chef for the amazing meals we experienced!! Thank you and I will surely return to Sky's Restaurant upon my next trip to Victoria, Texas.

I was at this establishment on a whim as I was planning to make my way to Corpus Christi earlier today. First off, I am originally from Houston, Texas, I have lived there during my formative years as well as having attended University of Houston, I am in town as I have applied for the Pre-Nursing ADN program at Victoria College and am awaiting correspondence from an admission counselor to see if the classes I have taken in upstate New York as a First year ADN student would transfer over to their college. I was on Google to search for the nearest restaurant, I saw the raving reviews as well as the enticing photos of the menu. As a certified foodie and fat kid who loves cake (pun intended) I wanted to get the chicken cordon bleu entree, however, the manager / owner of the restaurant recommended the stuffed crab jalapeños appetizer with sweet chili sauce which was delicious. I am second of all, never on a diet, so I ate dipped the chicken cordon bleu in sweet chili sauce. As I waited for my steak entree to be ready for my to go order for my Mom who is picky and wanted to stay at the hotel we are currently staying in, I noticed that the atmosphere of this restaurant is family oriented: the server has her kids playing in the VIP area, there was a family gathering at a nearby table, it was a very festive atmosphere. I made the astute observation that it is a welcoming and nurturing place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries as well as any other special occasions. The bartender/waitresses are friendly however I am also sure of what I want to get especially when it comes to food as i grew up eating traditional family feasts, I dabble in making my signature dish of ribeye steak with my secret recipe, so I didn't really want to try something new. As far as dessert, there were a plethora of options of cheesecakes, Godiva chocolate cake as well as a New menu item of sea salt caramel cake which sounded divine. The table celebrating a birthday was very funny I couldn’t help but listen in on the conversation that was to be had, the ambience was fun, I haven’t been to a bar/restaurant in a few months and in a small tight knit community like Victoria as this location seems to be in the quiet less crowded part of town, away from the hustle and bustle that is common of traditional big cities like Houston. I will be back once I am fully settled in Victoria Texas. :)
My husband had the ribeye steak ,mixed vegetables and a baked potato and I had the New York Strip, mixed vegetables and a house salad we both agreed the steak had a really good flavor he said his was tough but mine was not. He did say the loaded baked potato was probably the best he's ever had, but our server was on point and very nice!!
This was a great experience. Loved this place, it was our first time there, we will definitely be returning. The service was great, friendly and prompt. I had the shrimp plate, the shrimp tasted fresh and was cooked well. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he loved they served him 2 large pieces.
This place is amazing! The food is superb with fair pricing and massive portions. The staff is super friendly and we were seated right away. The waitress was attentive and my tea was never empty. Good food, beautiful atmosphere and nice people, what else can you ask for. I will definitely be back. I want to try the Sesame chicken next. I had the chicken fried steak this time and it is the best I have ever had.
The staff was extremely amazing. Friendly and talk to us like we were family. We had the Pho and our friend had some General Chicken. He said his dish was good. But... the Pho was out of this world crazy good! Well worth the step back in time at this landmark Victoria airport restaurant.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Very good food excellent menu with tons of options and our server was wonderful. Never let our drinks get empty!
